Shelbourne Hotel Facade Restoration

The restoration of the facade of The Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin was a unique and challenging building project for acol. It was also one of the most noteworthy projects we have worked on to date. The project was completed by a dedicated team of 50+ traditional craftsmen. The work was carried out over a 13-month period between 2015 and 2016.

In that time and most noteworthy, we cleaned and repointed over 99,000 bricks, restored and repaired over 300 windows and 500 facade architectural features. Furthermore, acol facilitated the Dublin Civic Trust to run a series of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) seminars during the project.
